Does anyone know where I can recycle my 15 year-old tv? It's dead so I'm not going to drop it off at the Goodwill. Please let me know if there is anywhere in Chattanooga that will take it.

Thanks.

That website says they do not accept televisions. Know anywhere that does?

Just found this: America Recycles Day Computer Recycling Event 2009 at Technology Lifecycle (Saturday November 14, 2009) - Upcoming

Guess we'll be going there. Would be great if others need to get rid of some electronics.

If you read to the bottom of that website, it lists the places that do accept Tvs:

What Electronics Orange Grove Recycling Center DOES NOT Accept:
  • <LI style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Televisions <LI style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify">microwaves <LI style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify">air conditioners <LI style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify">large appliances
  • For businesses and those with a large volume of material need to call ahead at 493-2942
The items not accepted by Orange Grove may be taken to Hamilton County's East Ridge Transfer Station (behind East Ridge Hospital),

Sequoyah Transfer Station, 9525 Lovell Road, Soddy-Daisy, or the Landfill on Birchwood Pike.
