Does anyone know anything about Central High? We were looking at a house with Wallace Smith Elementary, Hunter Middle and Central High. From all I can tell Wallace and Hunter seem to be good schools. Central High seems a little questionable. I can't find much information on it.

It's as good a high school as Ooltewah, Red Bank, Soddy, and the all new East Hamilton(but you need to remember EH has all new stuff). The Principal is not tolerant of problems with discipline, and there are good kids and staff there. Having said that, it has bead seeds just like the rest of em. Including...the private ones as well.

Central is on the cover of today's Metro section of the Chattanooga Times Free Press because it is the first public school around here to have a philosophy class. I was very impressed. That said, I have no idea on the quality of the instruction...but I'm still interested. I might even see if I can pop in to join if I can fit it in my schedule.

I'm one of those people that think philosophy should be core curriculum.
