Need to organise a BD party for about 10 12year olds (mostly boys) in 2 weeks. I am thinking of trying rock climbing and am looking for other ideas. I prefer not to do Chucke Cheese. I think that go carting will be either too cold or closed.

Any ideas out there???

I am not sure what Chattanooga offers for boy's birthday parties. What about the Aquarium or IMAX?

The rock climbing idea is a good one! We loved a party we went to @ the St Elmo facility. I would say the skate park but man, it's just too cold (for the parents!). How about cosmic bowling? Insane Paintball would be awesome but it's $35 per person... My son got a coupon for a karate/martial arts place in East Ridge but I just can't think of the name of it. I can try to find it if you are interested.

Bowling can be great fun for boys that age. Also, I would not recommend it, but my son had a great time at Winners Circle in Ft.O. They boys played laser tag and putt-putt... all indoors. My biggest gripe about WC is it is not a place with a "central point", or for that matter a controlled entrance/exit for kids' safety. All parents should stay there with their kids, and it still gets chaotic. Given that info, you may think it's worth a try. Good luck.

Do a theme scavenger hunt with destinations.
I organized two teams and two drivers for this idea two years in a row. One had a bond theme, the other was Indiana Jones. They were given a map at the Jones idea and that was easy around the neighborhood but the other theme, more complicated involved several adults participation dressed in tux with a destination bowling alley to look for the "lady in red" who would give a clue. The lady would wear a red dress like formal and hang out...it was a lot of fun. Ended up back at the house with them bringing items that they "found" along the way such as a cake, balloons, etc and then movies. fun when they are that age.

Take them up to Fall Creek Falls State Park. The kids will have a ball on the nature trails and climbing real rocks. My boys at that age couldn't want anything more than to be turned loose to explore up there in the caves. The best thing is that a day at the falls will ensure they will sleep very good that night! You can set up a tent, bring a picnic, use the tables and grills there. Fantastic and its free!

Default Easy Party!

What about a mobile video game party? We used one last year for my oldest son and he loved it!! I remember they gave us invitations for the party too. Look up video game party or rolling video games. Like I said, it was a great party!
