Default From one dog lover to another

Personally, I would stay away from the ones labeled "lookout mountain" on the previous list. These are extremely close to the city, but located on a not so nice side of downtown.

The Ramada Limited or Days Inn is probably your best bet near Hamilton Place. Traffic to downtown is busy during rush hours, but the rooms are fairly decent. If I remember correctly, both have small grassy areas for the pets. LaQuinta is pretty old & has zero grassy areas. The Residence Inn is right near the aquarium, rooms are very nice, but they charge a fairly steep fee for pets.

Too bad there isn't a Drury Inn nearby - this is my favorite pet friendly hotel chain.

If you are looking for an area to let the dogs run, visit the Chickamauga Dam area. They have open fields to run (I have two 15 pound terriers). The Riverpark downtown only allows dogs in small portions, but also a good place for leash walks.
