While I drive a Chevy Suburban these ads about the Tahoe express the hate that is so common against all SUV's by a public looking for something to hate.

You just reminded me I need to get serious about buying a new truck. I'm undecided now between a Silverado or another F150.

I've been thinking about upgrading from my 1/2-ton to a 3/4-ton. Do you think I should go 1-ton big-block dually while I'm at it ? I'm just going to use it for daily driving; getting grocery and stuff ...

The 1 ton dually would be excellent for those uses, and for commuting, especially if you drive by yourself. Diesel or gas?

A good solid one ton is hard to beat especially those with a gas big block v8. I know of a 1995 Ford f350 4x4 with a 460 7.5 liter v8 that has a bit over 500,000 miles and has yet to be gone thru. Dual rear wheel trucks are nice for stability when towing heavy trailers but suck big time in mud or snow.

Diesel is too reasonable for such a big truck. If it doesn't get single-digit MPG, I don't feel like driving at all.

Does Dodge still sell V10-powered Rams ?

Nope, they quit. You can get the 5.7 gas (hemi) or the 6.7 cummins. I have drove a 05 1 ton dodge with the 5.7 gasser. It is setup as a fire truck (150 gallons of water water, and tools) that beast will haul ass in a major fashion. It is a gas guzzler though.

There was a lot of these ads around a while back.

Some of them were hilarious, some of them not so much.

It was some sort of competition when they were launching the Tahoe.
They provided the pictures, and you put your own captions on.
Basically, you made your own ad. I can't remember if there was a prize, or if it was "just for fun"

They pulled them all from the site eventually, I don't think they got quite the response they expected !
