I only had one starting key and it is lost.

If you can't drive your car to a full service locksmith, you'll need to call for mobile service which can make a key on the spot.

A gm dealer can make a key based on the vin code, but it may be easier to pull the column apart and replace it. The entire cylinder is only about $15.

I should think a Suburban authorized dealer parts department would be an excellent place to ask such a question!

I've already did.

I asked them and the person said bring my driver's license along with title and vin number so je can make the key
