I just bought a 2015 SS (yes, just SS), it is an auto since I got a killer deal on it. I know most people think it is a Malibu and I don't mind, it is unassuming from a distance. Up close, it has a presence to it and the stock sound is sweet.

I can't wait to take delivery next weekend! Here are some (not mine) pics of the 2015. Anyone like this sleeper?

Can GM not produce a muscle car that isn't so damn boring looking?

They did to the SS what they did to the GTO, and for me there just isn't the presence I like.

I love the SS. I wish I could get one.

I worry about having some of the same parts availability issues that police agencies are having with the Caprice. It is a Holden, after all. It's also the reincarnation of the Pontiac G8, a car that has maintained a bit of collector value since they abruptly discontinued it.

I also wonder what the future of the SS is since Holden is going to stop production in Australia in 2017.

At one time, I wanted the SS but now have switched to wanting the Charger Scat Pack which has significantly more power, is larger (since I'm 6'6" it's good), gets better mileage, is much better looking exterior and is similarly priced. The SS performance and features are still really excellent....how much of a deal did you get? I guess I would again consider the SS if the deal was fantastic enough.

My brother in law just got a 6 spd one.....he ordered it and waited a few months. He absolutely loves it and has had some decent performance cars in the past.

I think I would rather have a CTS-V

I got a 2015 auto for $1 less than 40k.

I like the Charger, but prefer the more restraint look of the SS. It is all a matter of preference but I can understand why people think it is TOO restraint/boring. I like boring, I still have an Odyssey for 11+ years.

Have you seen it in person? It has much more of a presence when you see and hear it, than just pictures. It is still not flashy like the Charger, and the 2016 fascia update makes it slightly more aggressive. I prefer the 2015 look, my real only issue with the exterior are the non-functional chrome side vents, and the tail doesn't do much for me. I think I will black out the side vents since it is black anyway.
