This 2001 Silverado is giving me fits. About 2 weeks ago it would not start after no prior indications that it had any issues. I turned it off, and went into the store, and when I returned it would not start. It has spark, but no fuel. I checked the fuel pressure rail by depressing the schrader valve in the fuel pressure check port and there was no pressure at all. I checked all the fuses and relays in the fuse tray mounted on the driver's fender. All fuses looked and tested good. I replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter. After pressurizing the system through 3-4 key cycles, it started and ran great. I figured I had fixed the issue until today when the exact same thing has happened. It ran great this morning, now without warning, it has no fuel pressure. I presume the pump was only a symptom of a larger problem that I have not yet found. I am thinking maybe ignition switch, ECM, fuel pump relay, impact fuel cutoff switch? Does anybody have any ideas where I can start to give this a proper diagnosis?

I have had 4 Chevrolet trucks.
This is a good place for this type of question.
