We just purchased a 2005 chevy express 3500 work van with a bad 6.0L motor in it. We were told that a 2006 5.3 L motor will directly interchange does anyone have any input on this for me?

Just find another 6.0. There are plenty out there. I like the 5.0 better than the 5.3.
