I am in need of a larger vehicle to haul my craft stuff to shows as well as tents/costumes/supplies to Rendezvous.
I love the look and capacity of the older Suburbans, expecially the mid 90's. I will also use it for an occasional people hauler, but it will definately be a 2nd vehicle not a daily driver. I have a 2002 Honda for that.
When I go to a show I will have 2 people - 320 lbs, craft stock and displays, 1500-2000 lbs in the back. When we go to Rendezvous, we will have the same 2 people plus close to 6-8,000 lbs of gear and stock (He sells books, wood bowls and pewter). I am purchasing a small trailer to pull behind me to carry some of this as it will not fit in one vehicle. We usually take 2+ trips with his Dakota.
Ideally looking for cloth seats and the 2nd seat as a bench versus bucket seats.

Any suggestions on years to look for?

Can someone please direct me to where there is information that I can do a side by side comparison of interior payload as well as towing capacity? I have found a few sites but they contradict each other.
I need to get this vehicle soon as I have a 400 mile round trip scheduled for the 2nd weekend of May.

I have read this thread - https://www.city-data.com/forum/chevr...#ixzz44ndGiiNF and started my search for information there.

I dont mind 200,000 miles on it as long as it is not rusted through. Minnesota winter is bad enough without starting it rusting out on me.
