Hi all,

Just returned from my first look up close with a 2017 Acadia Denali with all the trimmings (or so they said).

I did like the vehicle but have never looked at a GMC before. Coming off lease on a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude (basically a Laredo with blacked out trim and black wheels).

Power seems similar, features seem similar to a higher trim GC. 3rd row seat is nice to have once in a while. The hidden storage seemed a bit sparse...a couple of small compartments in the console and dash, but not much else.
The salesman didn't understand the transmission, so my question about Low was unanswered. I actually go offroad and need a low 4wd gear to get through deep sand once in a while. Can anyone enlighten me on the capability here?

Since the 2017s are all-new and just hitting the lots, not sure there is a lot of real-world experience. I know GMC tried to improve offroad abilities, and now provides 2WD, AWD and 4x4 mode, but i don't think it has a true low range.

They made an Acadia model more focused for off road (the "All Terrian") which has a different AWD system, but still not sure it has a true low range, and you can't get a 3rd row with it. Worth exploring if you can live without the 3rd row though.
