DO NOT buy an Equinox 2.4L unless its 2013 and up, as the earlier models have a bunch of timing chain problems that cost $$$ to fix. The 2012 3.6L are pretty trouble free as those are the newer ones that dont have all the timing chain issues of the 08-2011 models.

I have a 2016 2.4L LS. Its been great. Bought it new and plan to keep it 10 more years

dad used a 3.6 v6 awd for his daily commute and was not pleased at all. i agree with the santa fe - it's better.
