This car: 49k miles

https://www.oharamotors.com/used/Bui...156125ad8d.htm

Need a car for my wife, last one totalled. Received $8,300 insurance, and due to past financial difficulties $15k is the absolute most I can pay for a car right now. I wasn't even thinking/looking Buick, but stumbled on this when getting my vehicle inspected. I've been looking at Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, etc. A 2015 Nissan Altima with 29k miles also goes for $15k. It just feels luxurious, something much more than the other cars I've focused in on. And thinking of getting this for my wife and giving her something high-end makes me happy. She honestly just is letting me get her a car. She doesn't care, won't go see cars or test drive them. It's entirely up to me, even when I continue to tell her what I find and ask for her thoughts, which simply are "whatever". Then she ends up liking most cars she's owned (except 1).

My wife has chronic pain. As such, heated seats are a requirement. Here in the northeast, FWD or AWD also required. This car has pretty much every conceivable add-on. I put a deposit down to hold it until Monday. I am so leaning on just getting this, but figured beyond Googling I'd ask some car people directly.

Thanks in advance.

If that's the case - it is critical that your wife tries sitting in the driver's seat to see if she can get comfortable in a proper driving position. Sometimes the driving positions of individual car models can vary. Is the steering wheel too far away, for example?

KBB has it at $13,800 and NADA has it at $14,400.

I’d offer $14k and not budge a dime higher.

Trust me she fits herself into anything, doesn't want to be bothered with the process of buying(never has) and just wants me to pu a car in front of her - weird, I know.

Timing Chains still Failing on 3.6 Engines

If it had a 3.8 in it I would buy it, but they quit making the 3.8 in 2008 or 2009. They started using a 3.6 that is known for crunching timing chains. Myself, I would stay away from it. I would go with a used Avalon, or even the Altima. Another vehicle that may work for you is a Chrysler 300 with AWD.

Thanks for the info. I did a little research on this, and this issue does not appear to be a common occurrence with the LaCrosse. A bulletin back in 2012 listed the following:

Models:
2009 Buick Enclave
2007-2009 Cadillac CTS, SRX, STS
2009 Chevrolet Traverse
2007 GMC Acadia
2009 GMC Acadia
2007 Saturn OUTLOOK
2009 Saturn OUTLOOK
Equipped with 2.8L/3.6L Engine (LP1/LY7/LLT)

The 2012 LaCrosse has the LFX engine, and although I realize this issue can occur it doesn't seem to be with the LFX. Of course I could be wrong as I am no car expert.
