Hi,
Which full-sized Van model did Chevrolet replace the Astro Van with? I think, but I'm not 100% sure, it was the Chevrolet Express Van. But now days, the Express Van is positively GARGANTUAN! The Astro was quite small and compact by comparison (even up to 2005 which was it's last model year). So this makes me wonder what was the immediate replacement for the Astro? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Nothing replaced the Astrovan, they were just discontinued. I'm on my second one, and if something happens to my current one, I'll buy another one. My 94' was hit, and my insurance company sent me almost $5K to replace it, so I replaced it with a 99'.

Those Astros seemed to be bulletproof and last forever. I still see them on the road all the time, unlike Aerostars or Caravans of the same vintage. About 2003 the minivan started to lose favor as a "soccer Mom" vehicle, and most manufacturers began eliminating them through about 2008 without replacement. The few that are left are still selling
but not like they used to, with the current 7-8 passenger SUV more popular.

I thought I'd update this thread. My 99' Astrovan was stolen on 06/15/2018, and I just replaced it with a 2003. This is my third one, and I hope it's my last one.....

For many years there WAS no replacement, until the Chevy City Express came out.

BUT, it's just a rebadged Nissan NV200.
