We have a 2018 Traverse w/o a CD player. And w/o the DVD option--we never used that in our Tahoe
Didn't really realize no CD when we bought this High Country version--maybe none of them have CD option
Before we listened to audio books when we made long trips on CDs

I have Audible app on my iPhone and iPad--listen to them via headphones if I am walking dog or working in house at times but not in car over speaker system

I have read the Audible webpage
see I can use 3 options to play Audible books in car's system
Via Bluetooth
Via audio plug--the round-end plug connected to my device directly
Via USB connection

My husband wants to have his phone connected via Bluetooth to speakers so he can take calls hands-free
He does 100% of the driving on these trips so a Bluetooth connection is out for my iPhone or iPAD I think because an incoming call would knock my phone out of the speakers and maybe complicate getting it back into listening mode

We have the audio cable and multiple USD cables and connections

FWIW
I ride in second row (beside the dog) so I am not close to the MyLink screen or controls and I would be controlling the Audible app

I can use either device since app is on both--just have to download book we want

Nice easy 1, 2, 3 explanation if you can
The infotainment manual is not user friendly unless you are 16 maybe

Perhaps you should pay a visit to your dealership for assistance. That’s the best I can do for you. I don’t have that system.

I have found, in my vehicles which are NOT what you have, that using the same cable as the charger uses with the USB end works much better that Bluetooth. The round end is limited to the volume of the phone, that's just a headphone jack.

Thanks for taking the time to answer
My daughter came over and helped me
We are using the AUX cable which plugs into the AUX receptical in the front dash and into my older iPhone's headphone jack

Go to the link for music/media on the front screen
Choose Media vs radio
And if the phone has the Audible app open when I engage the app/start the book it plays over the speakers
Not sure how easy it is to stop/start when he is getting a call or using the GPS
But think it has a shot
It is more awkward because I am not in front seat like usual
It would be nice if part of what happens when you get a new car w/new technology the dealership volunteers to teach you how to use the car's systems...
I know plenty of people are more tech savvy than we are and probably don't need/want it but it could be a selling point for dealerships to differentiate themselves from competition

The jack is the only option in our Enclave. We have to have the phone volume all the ay up, and the radio volume way high just to hear stuff.

Spoke too soon
Got on road today and it would not play
Not sure if my husband hit right keys to access other media...like phone vs radio
Will have to try when we stop at rest stop maybe

Very frustrating

Got it to work after stopping
Think DH failed to hit the MEDIA icon next to the radio/Sirius button

It is playing through only front speakers and has to be up loud for me
Don't know if he can move balance if playing on AUX
Will try that at lunch
