The lack of AWD is going to limit sales, as a majority of new US vehicles now have AWD or 4WD. Another article states that it is 4" lower than the original Trax, which would put it at 60". My Buick Encore is 64" and about as low as I want in a vehicle. The increases in rear legroom and cargo area are useful, however.

Given the current environment when it comes to car prices, it at least seems somewhat affordable.

I had a Trax as a rental car once and it was awful in the sense that it seemed so cheaply made to the point where I wondered if I had bought one for myself brand new, how long would it last until it totally falls apart. This was a couple years ago, so hopefully this next generation is a lot better in terms of quality, fit, and finish.

Here's the specifications:
https://gmauthority.com/blog/2022/10...pecifications/

The new Trax is 61.4" tall, while the Encore is 65.3" tall. The new Trax has a combined front/rear legroom of 80.6". I consider 80" to be the minimum for carrying 4 adults, so the Trax meets that criteria.

I have to say Chevy is starting to return to some appealing aesthetics, especially in the way they have uncluttered and cleaned up their interiors.

Why would you buy this Trax over the Blazer?

Since 1989, Japanese automakers have avoided expensive horsepower wars by capping production-car output in its homeland to 276hp. Could you imagine that in the US?

the legendary 1955 Chrysler C-300 coupe was the first car in America to reach 300 hp.,

It certainly looks better, but it seems like it's targeted at the same customers that would shop the Trailblazer. It even has the same powertrain.
