2015 Equinox I’m considering canceling Onstar and just using Google maps. My only concern is if I will still be able to use hands free calling and will I still be able to sync my phone to Bluetooth? I want to play audiobooks etc through my car’s Bluetooth if possible. Thank you

My Camaro is a 2015 and I've cancelled Onstar. 2015 Chevy's were on the old 2G network and most/all of what Onstar did no longer works. I used to be able to use the app to remote start and open the doors. Not anymore. I have navigation and that still works although I tend to use Google maps if I need to.

If you want to use hands-free calling you can still sync to Bluetooth, same with audio books. I listen to the music on my phone through Bluetooth all the time. Bluetooth is separate from Onstar.
