GM has had a much better Q2 and H1 this year than last year with a H1 net income of $2.54 billion and better than guidance so is also upping its 2023 guidance numbers from $11B to $13B increased to $12B to $14B.

In terms of electric vehicles, GM hit its goal of producing 50K units including its Brightdrop commercial delivery vans. GM expects to introduce six Ultium vehicles through the latter half of this year barring issues with ongoing Union negotiations. These six Ultium vehicles are Chevy Silverado EV WT, Chevy Blazer EV, Chevy Equinox EV, Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition, Brighdrop Zevo 400, and the Cadillac CELESTIQ.

Also, they confirmed they are planning an Ultium-based Bolt.

I am very curious to see where GM actually lands on pricing. We've seen that in this environment, prices of EV components and in turn finished products, can be volatile. The price targets that GM initially announced in advance marketing descriptions were quite aggressive, and if they can still adhere to those, I could see them having a big impact when they roll these out.
