Anybody ever hear of this concept and seen it work? It's an intriguing thought to me in this market to go to a "marketplace" to allow your house to be traded for another.

I know there are lots of real estate agents monitoring these boards...anybody ever seen this concept work in reality?

Default Trading

I've had co-workers who have traded homes but its been temporarary a co-worker of mine was moving to Ireland for a two year project and the guy from Ireland and him traded places for two years.

I've never known anyone who has done it althoguh occasionally on craigslist I see people posting looking for trades. There's a guy in Elmhurst who's been on there for months, I guess he's looking to downsize and wants the other party to pay the difference.

I had actually considered posting an ad myself, I'm in a duplex in Aurroa but would like to get into either a single family home or a condo. If I have a yard I have to maintain I want my own yard or I want nothing at all to maintain like a condo. I'm in a duplex so I gotta care for my own yard and though I do have a decent yard I want a yard all to myself.

I think most of the time just the nature of people you'll think your house is way nicer or way more valuable than someone elses even though in a nonbiased eye they may be the same.
