Are there areas of Mundelein that fall within the Vernon Hills dostrict?

I have noticed that there are some nice, large, new builds in Mundelein for a decent price but had heard there are areas with which to be weary. (?)

Sorry but still have not visited the area so I am flying blind so to speak.

The eastern edge of Mundelein has Hawthorn schools and Vernon Hills High School, but there isn't new construction there. I would definitely avoid Mundelein High School, and the Mundelein K-8 districts (75 and 76) aren't very good either. Most of the new construction in Mundelein is with Mundelein HS and Fremont for K-8. Fremont is good, but Hawthorn is better. There are also some parts of Mundelein that are Fremont with Stevenson HS - that's the best combination. I'm sorry I can't give you specific streets; the district boundaries out there are really confusing.

Thanks, Kristen as it is certainly a lot more than I knew before.
I guess it is possible that some of the really nice homes in MHS district include people whose children attend private school. I noticed a good private HS in the area--

Was it Carmel? Carmel is very highly regarded and a lot of Mundelein residents do send their kids there. Their programs are definitely competitive with the other excellent high schools in the area.

Yes, it is Carmel.

My son has been attending a excellent international school in London but needs a small amount of support for ADD. Most private schools are not always open to kids who need any accommodations.

I've put two sons through District 76 in Diamond Lake School District and both are doing VERY well at Stevenson High School, a top rated national high school. This is an EXCELLENT school district with educators and administrators that go above and beyond. You'd be doing your children a disservice to not look into this school district and what they have to offer.
Good luck in your search!
