I am wondering how long it would take to get from Antioch (Emmons Grade School area) to Gurnee. I am looking to find a job in a large company in Gurnee, and am wondering if Antioch is feasible. Or Lake Villa also. I don't want to spend more than 30 minutes on a commute with kids. Thanks.

Antioch to Gurnee is around 30 minutes, of course add or subtract a few minutes depending where in each village you are going. Rosecrans to Rt. 45 to Grand is the way you want to go. Or Rosecrans to Rt. 45 to Stearns. Lake Villa to Gurnee is easier because you are already on Grand Avenue. The traffic around I-94 can get a little backed up, but so far major traffic has not yet made its way up to Lake Villa or Antioch, especially that far north. From the south its bad.

For a working professional in Chicago area, this is a pretty tame as a "commute," def on the low end of the frustration chart of other commuters. It can still be annoying, but yeah thats not that bad of a drive.

Several ways you could go, all about 20 minutes:

Recommend:

Rosecrans-173 to Hunt Club, then to Grand-132; or if your live south of 173 I would take 59 or 83 south to Grass Lake Rd; continue on Grass Lake as it turns into Millburn, then turn south on Hunt Club to Grand.
