Antioch is about 41 miles north of Madison, about 24 miles west of State. If you go driving near Antioch, you will see mailboxes with addresses in the 40,000's. The village itself does not follow the system, but unincorporated areas do.

I've noticed that the far east South Suburbs of Chicago such as Riverdale, Dolton, Calumet City, South Holland, Glenwood, Lansing, Lynwood, and Sauk Village follow the east side's street grid. This is why 159th turns to 162th in South Holland.

Chicago's street Grid: is red East side's street grid is blue
99th ~ 100th Blvd
107th ~ 106th
111th ~ 112th
127th ~ 130th
135th ~ 138th
143rd ~ 144th
147th ~ 150th (Sibley Blvd)
151th ~ no major street.
155th ~ 154th
159th ~ 162nd (River Oaks Drive)
167th ~ 170th
175th ~ 173rd / Bernice Rd in Lansing
183rd ~ 182nd / Ridge Rd in Lansing/ NWI
187th ~ 186th
At this point both grids begin to use names for major thru routes.
Flossmoor Rd ~ Glenwood-Lansing Rd
Vollmer Rd ~ Joe Orr rd

Why does this change by such few numbers what is the point? And where is the barrier seperating the road number changes. i.e. - (town using red grid would be Harvey and town using blue would be South holland both neighboring each other). I Know those are probably not correct city wise, but hopefully you understand my question about where the roads change
