I live a few miles from Gates Creek and am also a real estate appraiser.

It's a nice area and is also a mature subdivision that's fully built out. This is very important in the Oswego area because there are far too many subdivisions where the developers went bankrupt and left the area without completing their subdivision. This was complicated by the fact that many of these subdivisions had homeowner's associations that the builders still controlled. So finding a mature subdivision is almost a must in this area.

Anyway, Gates Creek has nice housing that is presently available at good prices. I just completed a relocation appraisal in there last month. It's close to the village of Oswego itself and close to Orchard Road which will provide you with access to I-88 which takes you east to Chicago.

Any particular questions?

you pretty much just nailed it. we have a home we've just purchased there - I haven't seen it, I've been dealing with the particulars here - short closes on both sides - we had 3 weeks from offer to close, and on the other end it will end up being about the same.

Next thread will be about pediatricians, dentists, etc. THANK YOU!!
