I did a search in this forum and didn't see anything on this so here goes...
Does anyone know if you can park for free at the 211th St/Lincoln Hwy Metra station along the Metra Electric line? Second question, is parking readily available? Can you show up at 7-730a and find a spot to park no problem? Last question, is it safe in this area? Should I be concerned if my wife works late in the city and gets her car at 8pm?

Thanks!

Parking is free and readily available.

Yes, at 8 o'clock you can even walk across the street to the CVS in Olympia Fields and see the 65 year old white ladies getting their medicine.. It's safe.

Seriously though, my best friend (r.i.p) used to walk that Metra station from his house on Main Street in Matteson to get to private school in the city for four years. I've walked to that house from the 211st Street station in the middle of the night.. This was a few years ago (the 2000s) but I'm not talking 30 years ago like some people on this forum talk about the south suburbs.
