Hi ! I'm planning to move from NJ to Chicago suburbs. Housing and overall Cost of Living in NJ is too high and I think it's not the case with Chicago suburbs. I plan to work in Chicago city and take train to work.

I would higly appreciate your thought, ideas and opinion on my move and specifically on the following :

1. Is the Cost of housing and Overall cost of living less than NJ (central) ?

2. I want to buy a house in a new development or planned community in price range of $450k-$500K.
Where in Chicago suburbs can I find new housing developments taking place / new housing communities coming up with excellent school district ?

3. How are the Property Taxes in these areas ?

4. I have identified Naperville/Aurora under school district 204 (Indian Prairie School District 204) as a town where I can think of settling down, since it has an excellent school district. Do these areas have new single family houses / townhouses coming up ?

Please fell free to suggest me some more areas that are safe, have excellent school district with new housing developments taking place / new housing communities coming up.

Thanks for your help.
