I'd move to Pleasant Prairie if I could. Sounds like heaven.

How profound and helpful, recommending a suburb in Wisconsin inconveniently located based on OPs' requirements.

And yet, Chummy's reputation is 118! I almost fainted last week when I read one of his posts and it wasn't the usual snarkfest!

To the OP: I live in Schaumburg, and Vernon Hills isn't too bad of a drive (numerous ways to get there besides expressway), but the hike to/from Aurora (especially in rush hour) would be a nightmare!

Alright very helpful thus far. Now how about malls. She may be able to transfer in her current job now which would be in the malls.

Ah so that's what's going in that empty spot between Walmart and Toys R Us. The place looks like a disaster hit it right now. At least it's not yet another Dollar Store I guess.

The Westfield Hawthorn mall is literally across the street from there. There is also a Westfield mall in Schaumburg, and the Northbrook Court mall in Vernon Hills. There is an outlet mall in Pleasant Prairie which is much closer than Aurora.

Vernon Hills is well situated for travel to surrounding areas, but trying to reach Vernon Hills during rush hour can be a nightmare since there are so many businesses headquartered in the area and not enough roads in. It would be easier for your girlfriend to reach most places from Vernon Hills than it would be for you to drive there everyday.

There is an AMLI apartment complex right next to the mall. I stayed there once. Its a little pricey but nice, esp to walk to the mall or the concerts next door whne they have them.
