Any recommendations for shuttle service from O'hare to Huntley/Lake In The Hills area? I live in Orange County. Supershuttle is $28 each way to John Wayne Airport. 30 min from my house. Same service is $142 each way from O'Hare to Huntley. That's about a 45 min drive. Go figure. I think taxi services may be too much. Appreciate any info.

You can probably do better if you shop around. $142 sounds very high. Of course if you have plenty of time and only light luggage you can ride the subway to Jefferson Park, then the commuter train to Crystal Lake, though you would still be short of Huntley.

American Taxi New

American Taxi charges $56 plus tip. Reliable service too, I've used them many times.

You can even get a limo for $88. I don't know where you got that shuttle rate from but it's wrong.

Thanks for info. I got the super shuttle rate from their website. I thought is was high too. I've always used them in Southern CA. Again, I'm 30 min from the airport. I Know Crystal Lake is a little further up the 90.

Talked to a Supershuttle rep. They told me O'Hare does not have shuttle vans. The Chicago rate is based on a personal sedan car. Still cheaper to take a taxi.

Pre-booking a cab is likely to be cheaper than jumping in a metered one btw.

That is crazy expensive. Call a limo service. I've had good luck with H&M Limo.

Yes try calling a limo service. They have private or shared cars.

We are paying $60 OW from Crystal Lake to O'Hare and have for years. You need to shop around.

Using the METRA/Blue Line is a possibility but parking in Crystal Lake is limited to ONE day or THREE depending on the lot.
