My girlfriend and I currently live in woodridge, however she just got a job downtown and I work in orland park. were looking for a new apartment walking distance to the metra either in orland or tinley so I can live closer to work and she doesnt have to worry about parking for the train. for some odd reason google cant help me... we have a very generous budget for rent if its close enough to my work/ her train. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

i would say probably 1 mile or less. i dont want her to have to deal with bad weather. that was a good point. im also ok with getting suggestions that are close to other stations just as long as they are within a 15 mile drive from the lagrange/159th intersection

My sister-in-law lived in a fairly nice 2BR on 176th and Harlem. She was about 4 blocks from the train station. If you're going north on Harlem, they're right on the right side over there.

You should have no problem finding something in Tinley, there are apts. scattered all around the oak park ave. train station. Drive the area north and south of the tracks into the neighborhoods and you will see quite a bit of selection.
