We are considering moving to Naperville for the schools. Our 4th grade daughter has an IEP and we would like to hear people's experiences within the two districts. We are not happy with our current school district. Thanks

what is iep? individualised education program? what does that mean exactly? is she special needs? normally i dont like say doing a search but unless you have specifics you would like addressed do a search this topic has been talked to death and you wil find a TON of info. I would say all naperville schools do pretty well with special needs kids though maybe others have experience with specific schools or districts.

Tricky thing too is with more and more districts facing cutback the old fashioned "just do the legal requiremments" is again becoming the norm. I know some special ed teachers and there are some indivuals who just have a unique talent to help certain kids with certain challenges, but it is totally hit or miss whether they get kids that can benefit from their skills on their caseload or just get overworked and under appreciated....

Depending on what other facctors my be motivating the OP's desire to relocate the "betterness" of one district over another is a real tough call.

We live in District 203 and have experience with IEPs. So far, the teachers and administrators have been helpful, responsive, and accommodating. No complaints. We like our area and our schools very much. I saw your other post about house prices; if that is your budget I would look at the Winding Creek subdivision. The area off Royce, as someone suggested, is also very nice. District 204 is newer and has some lovely homes as well, but we are happy with 203.
