I am planning to move to the Glenview area and will be commuting into Chicago, so I have some questions about the parking at the Glenview metra stations.

In which station is it generally easier to find parking and is there a certain time you need to get there by before one or both fill up?

I know there a parking permit that you can purchase from the city. Is that required to have a chance to find a spot or are there spots for pay-as-you-go as well? I'm asking this as I will likely need to park before 7/1 (when the 2nd 6-mth period of the year starts).

There is pay-as-you-go parking for $2/day, but this fills up very quickly.

You are likely going to have to apply for a permit from the village which is $300-400/year.

The Glen of North Glenview will have better parking. If that still doesn't work, and you commute strictly during rush hour, drive west to Prospect Heights. There is always parking there. http://www.prospect-heights.il.us/city_transport.cfm
