Hello, out there,
I am going to visit my friend in Chicago. He lives on 6100 North Sheridan Rd, Chicago. He said there is no parking spot and I am driving my car to visit for about 3 days. He could not figure out where to park for three days (in and out hopefully during the visit with my car, but worst case I have to park and never move the car until leave) around his apartment. He uses train to work. He doesn't have a car.
There are monthly type parking like Standard Parking. I could not understand the parking situation near that block or the Street. Is there metered parking or can I park on the street over night? Grocery store parking etc.

When family visits, where do they park for a short visit like three days. I must drive to Chicago, so help me neighbors near that place. Any suggestion for safe parking for about three days without going bankrupt or break in? I can arrive any day, but prefer weekend like Friday afternoon and leave Sunday or Monday morning
Thank you

Default Better thread for Chicago

Even if you do decide to park in a suburb you'll get better tips in the Chicago threads.

Yeah, this is in the wrong forum, but I can say with confidence that there is street parking within 1/2 mile of his place. Just pay attention to the signs and don't park in a zoned parking area. Don't leave anything of value in the car and you should be fine.
