Hi. I am 18 and recently I have moved to Chicago. I actually live in Chicago, but I am more close to the suburbs(Burbank is 5 minutes away if walking) so that is why I posted in the suburbs area. I have a car so it would be kind of easy for me to move around trough the suburbs (Burbank, Oak Lawn and the others nearby)
Getting back to the point: I have trouble meeting people my age. I tried going out in the parks around the area, but I didn't had much luck. I am not a racist, not at all, I have met some black people and mexicans and they are friendly and stuff, but I am white and everyone just looks at me weird. And another aspect is that we don't share the same interests. I have big trouble explaining the position that I am in, but to put it this way: I actually learn in school, I am really smart and I want to talk about other stuf than girls pregnant at 16 and the new job at taco bell that someone got. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to talk rocket science either, but maybe you will understand what I am trying to say.
I know that usually teenagers don't read this forums, but maybe some parent or anybody else could advise me where to meet teenagers, maybe you know a time and a place where teens gather to play sports or just to hang out. Any kind of actual advice would be good.
