I have an acquaintance who's a borderline alcoholic with serious anger issues. Because of his propensity towards verbal abuse he's gradually alienated most of his family and many friends. I've tried to work with him and give him advice but the same patterns keep repeating. He's now in middle age and I feel he's on a self-destructive path, getting worse with every passing year. I want to get him help before it's too late; however I live on the west coast so it's very difficult for me to find well-qualified professional help for him, in the Joliet/Plainfield area where he lives.
