Once you move in, you should go to the Evanston Art Center, they have all sorts of kiddy and family classes and I have a feeling that you will meet some nice people there. My kids have taken classes there for years and we've met some great people.

Thanks Anthera, I will definitely check that out. I'd really like to find a creative movement/dance class for my 3 year old. She loves to dance just like her mommy.

The Old Town School of Folk Music (which is in Lincoln Square) has "Wiggleworms" for kids up to the age of five. My friend takes her 8-month-old there, and she absolutely loves it.

Just shoot down Western Avenue from Evanston (which is Asbury Avenue north of Howard), and you would be there in a jiffy.

Well there you go! Even easier. Though you miss out on Lincoln Square, which is really a nice place.

How did you know about that AF? You're not the father of some young illegitimate child out there, are you?

OMG - I remember Wiggleworms! It was my introduction to mom/tot classes where I was the only real mom. I met so many nice nannies there. I think the classes were on armitage back then.

They still have some classes on Armitage, but most are now in that huge new facility on Lincoln. It's a great resource!
