I will be starting a new position at the Great Lakes N.B. at the beginning of the year. I know nothing about this area and will be coming from Oregon. So far my searches online have come up with some decently priced apartments in Kenosha but I'm interested in what exactly is the commute like from there. I'm a single mom of a middle school aged child so a safe neighborhood is very important to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the commute from kenosha should be pretty easy, you are out of the big chicago and milwaukee traffic. I would not be too worried about it.

Commute would be about half an hour to 45 minutes, depending in large measure on what part of Kenosha you lived in. The further south and west, the quicker the commute.
