Hello,

I am moving along with my family from Ohio to libertyville. I was looking for apts in Waukegan, Vernon Hill, Grayslake, Mundelein, Park city, etc? I tried getting reviews on apartmentreviews, apartmentrating, etc..But, I was surprised to find nearly all negative feedback. Any suggestion/advice on any of the following apts is really appreciated...

1. Heritage Green : Mundelein
2. Royal Oak : Grayslake
3.Park Butterfield : Vernon Hill
4.Lakes at Fountain Square: Waukegan
5.Chateau Royal : Waukegan
6.Woodlands on Green Bay :North Chciago
7.PArk Terrace in Park City.

Warm Regards,

~I

Your best bets are these:

1. Heritage Green : Mundelein
2. Royal Oak : Grayslake
3.Park Butterfield : Vernon Hill
4.Lakes at Fountain Square: Waukegan
5.Chateau Royal : Waukegan

actually, your'e better off with the first 3. I give those areas 5 stars and the latter 2, 3 stars being that they are west of 94/41

stay away from anything east of 94/41

JMHO

good luck!

Royal Oak in Grayslake is nice. I actually do not live but 3 min from those apartments. Park Terrece in Park City looks horrible from the outside. They are hidden in which they very well should. I am not sure where Lake at the Fountain Square is located but if they are off Waukegan Rd then that is good. There are several apartments and condo complexes on that Road and they all look nice from the outside. A few of them are gated.

I work right down the road from these. Heritage Green is 100% Mexican now. But it's all families with children. No gangbangers. Still pretty nice, but very, very old apartment buildings. You should be fine there if you don't mind noisy children. But I've also heard the management has gone downhill there.

Park Butterfield, used to be really bad. Even had it's own police department. But I've heard they've rebuilt it and it looks nice now. The town it's in, Vernon Hills, is actually pretty nice.

Stay away from any apartment buildings in Waukegan. They are always having issues with crime. Break ins, gang members hanging out in hallways and parking lots. Just stay away from Waukegan, and especially North Chicago. North Chicago is REALLY bad with crime.

Park City is a nice area. Still pretty decent. You might find ok apartments in that area.

Grayslake is a nice area overall, but I'm not sure about Royal Oak.
