We are a young couple currently leaving in Chicago and working in downtown. We are trying to buy our first house. My dream house type is a small ranch style house with a decent size of backyard. We are tired of the city and we definitely want to move to suburbs but we need some help we want to have a family in the future and want schools around and family neighborhood. Our house budget is about $200K

Lansing is low priced becuase it is not particularly desirable, especially if one works near the Loop.
You would probably have more luck commuting via the BNSF from a suburb like Broofield; here is a nice brick range well within your budget --
