We found a home in Palatine that links to Lincoln elementary, Walter s Sundling jr. High, and Palatine High. The house is located of Dundee and Hicks in the Pepper tree farms neighborhood. It's not too far from 53. Does anyone know much about the neighborhood? It looks like a nice neighborhood.

I'm familiar with the neighborhood, but don't know a lot about it. Seems like a nice area and being directly across from the Forest preserve is a big plus. The only downside I can think of is the large concentration of apartment buildings along Rand Rd. and what that does to the quality of education at the elementary and middle school.

My wife and I run and bike most of the time through Pepper tree after going around Deer Grove Preserve.
That is one of my favorite areas to run around aside from the Palatine trails.

We moved to Palatine in 2011. I live just off NW Highway & Palatine Rd.
My son goes to Walter Sundling and my daughter to Palatine High.

That is a pretty nice and quiet neighborhood, near schools, shops, supermarket, forest preserve.

It is not that far from Rand Rd (3/4 of mile maybe) but still a very quiet area.

How do you like Palatine High? There is a lot of negativity associated with it because it tests low. But we like the ara and school looks huge.

I find the school pretty good.
Just my take on the tests - it is really up to the student if they want to excel.
My daughter's grades have been pretty good (GPA of 4 as she's the competitive type)
Her classmates are quite good also.

Yeah, the school is huge and it is clean inside.
