Hello Everyone.

My wife and I currently live in our southern Plainfield starter home that we bought in 2010 shortly after the market crashed. We have a 1 year old daughter and we have a long-term goal of selling our home and move in Spring/Summer 2018 (I know, we're long-term planners) and moving to Naperville. I really love our ~2000 sq/ft house that's were in now, but I have no desire to send my little girl to Plainfield schools. The plan is to be in Naperville before she starts Kindergarten.

Now, my wife and I both work in Joliet, but we both love Naperville, and want her to grow up there. I'm not really set on school district 203 or 204, since they both seem to have their advantages, but it sounds like 203 is the better choice.

Our budget will probably be about $350,000 - $400,000 by the time we move. Since we work in Joliet, the southside would probably make more sense. If we can maintain the same square footage (~2000) that would be great with an open floor plan.

What neighborhoods in Naperville should I look at? I really don't know neighborhoods, but something close to the downtown, while nice, would probably be out of our price range.

Naperville schools are some of the best in the area and are going to be a step up from Plainfield schools, although Plainfield schools could be worse. Pretty much any area in Naperville would be a nice area to live, Naperville doesn't have ay rough areas. For 203 schools the borders are basically Diehl to the North, College to the East, Royce to the South, and Plainfield-Naperville to the West.

This should help too:

I can't give you any houses to check out since you're not looking until 2018 but when the time comes if you're still interested feel free to contact me.

Do you think we would be able to find something in that price range with 2000sq ft? I know it's a ways off, but based on today's prices, what do you think?
