Hello, I recently moved from Michigan to Naperville for work. While the city is great, since I don't know any one of my age in the area, weekends tend to get lonely. Surely there must be people in the same boat as I am!

Most people move to the city and just make the commute for a year or two. Lisles has a huge apartment community called 4 lakes that has a lot of young professionals. I would look into moving there.

Thanks for the posts guys.. I will look into meetups, so far haven't found anything of interest though.

jman07.. I live in Naperville and commute to work at W. Chicago (near St. Charles).. I will look into Lisle when my lease expires next year.

Are there any free courses I can attend at some local university ?

See my post. If you end up in Lisle you might also take a look at Benedictine University's offerings.

If you're into fitness I would look into joining a crossfit gym. It's a great way to make friends and is very social. Kind of like a club or fraternity.
