Hi folks, I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum or not, but can anyone tell me anything about the Glenwood area? Is it a nice area, is there a lot of crime, etc.? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

You're in the right forum.

It used to be a really nice area until all the dirt bags moved in. It's still not the worst place in the world, but it's far from nice (IMO) and will probably continue to decline.

Certain pockets are still relatively nice. Are you looking to relocate there? What area? I'd probably avoid the area commonly called "The Forest" (Look for streets named after trees). The areas with the nicer homes are called, "Brookwood Point" and "The Manor". "Old Glenwood" is just that, Old, but still has some decent homes.

Crime isn't too bad in Glenwood and it even has a golf course.

That's "Old Glenwood". Should be fine, but I would spend some time checking out the area to make sure it's a good fit. There's a nice little bar down the street called "The Station" and a nice restaurant called "Glenwood Oaks". Also close by is a diner called Gabe's Place and one of the best pizza places in the South burbs -> Arrenello's.

Hardworking people should not have to live by low life section 8 tenants!!! These people come to a nice community to destroy it as well as torture their neighbors. I wish that they couldn't afford the rent so that I wouldn't have to be bothered with these fools.
