The other things about Flossmoor that are very unusual include the rarity of so much of one's current income going not to the mortgage but to the taxes. One could argue that those homeowners are getting "maximum leverage" from a tax code that makes property tax deductible. That is usually an argument that advocates for progressive taxation make against folks that have generational wealth and live in North Shore mansions -- they then cite how that tax deduction deprives low income kids attending inner city schools of the various State Aid dollars funded by income tax. It is a weird twist for a community with the demographics of Homewood-Flossmoor HS -- HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR HIGH SCHOOL: Race/Ethnicity
General state aid is based on district wealth/low income student %, no? Not sure how the race/ethnicity chart makes your point? Otherwise, yeah- my huge tax deduction reduces the total pool of money available to support the 24% low income population at HF- I see the irony.

Yes it was the 192 bus, picks her up right at Ogilvie station and then goes down to Union Station and maybe makes a few more stops. This bus is full of suburban commuters to the U of C who go there every day from their suburban abodes. No need to take other regular CTA buses that take dangerous routes.

I do know if there was an issue and she missed one of the buses which only run during rush hour she was really screwed because cabs were expensive and some did not want to go to the south side.
#151 Sheridan is probably the bus you are thinking of.
