Does anyone know where I can get some cheap snowpants for my 4 year olds. Everywhere is getting their spring and summer stuff in but as this snow does not seem to be laying off I really need to get my girls some pants. I'm in Palatine so any stores in the local area would be great. I've tried Target, Sears and Walmart but no luck. The sports stores seem to stock only the expensive ones and my girls only need them for playing in the snow, not skiing. Thanks.

Here's my secret - "Once Upon A Child" is a children's resale clothing shop that sells new (as well as used) snow pants at a huge discount. It's a chain and I don't know if there is one in Palatine. Call them to see if they have any left. Every year, I go there to stock up on inexpensive snow pants, gloves, hats, etc. Our kids are in the snow all the time and constantly losing apparel. This way, when they lose a glove it doesn't bother me as much.

Also try Children's Place or Kids R' Us. You should have a few up there by you somewhere.

I would check out resale stores. I never buy my son's snow pants brand new. You can actually find new pants at the resale stores for a fraction of the price. And if they are used they usually only been worn a couple of times. We got a lot of snow this year but I remember many years only using snow pants once or twice. Good luck shopping!
