Good call. That is indeed a pizza slice.

Golf is so small, so hidden that even its relatively dense section of north suburban Cook County that......

* i is virtually invisible from neighboring Golf Road

* more people have gotten a glance of it on the Milw N Metra line than have passed by in a car

True. But the Golf cops make a fortune off of nighttime speeders on Golf Road. They use Glenview's police station for anything "major", since their own station is a one-room building.

In my lifetime of North Shore living and my numerous 141 mph and 3 AM adventures in the area, I have never seen a police officer in Golf or along the village's Golf Road southern border. I've also never had a speeding ticket, but that's because I know what I'm doing.

You guys keep talking about the metra station in Golf but no one brings up the post office! They're a tiny Town of about 500 or less people but they have a little post office by the train station. And I think their police station owns 2 police cars, total.

The post office is there for a reason. It acts as a central dropp-off point. Golf residents don't get home mail delivery. Instead, they get a key to a post office box. It probably doesn't cost much to operate the location.

Lincolnshire isn’t obscure but gets glossed over often. It needs more love.

Golf is basically "suburban Glenview". The town's entire student population fits into one K-2, one 3-5, and one 6-8 school, all in Glenview And in none of them are they anywhere near the majority of the student population

Definitely being "patriotic" here...sure doesn't hurt by being home to what is arguably the best public (and easily one of the biggest) high school in the state (I'm talking about Stevenson HS). AESHS is sort of like the "modern day New Trier".
