I've never heard of Keeneyville; must be an unincorporated limbo between Schaumburg and Roselle. I know about Prairie View; there's a school in the area (a middle school, I think) called Prairie View.

Prairie elementary school is in Buffalo Grove. There are no schools in Prairie View.

I think you are referring to Saint Mary church, but it is in Buffalo Grove. It is an awesome older church with a church cemetery behind it. Like going back in time. Corner of Lake Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road.

Between Algonquin and Cary (Far Northwest and Barely Suburban) is Trout Valley. A 1950's neighborhood that was built on the land of an old estate. Similar to Sleepy Hollow they incorporated as their own village rather than tie themselves to Cary in 1996.

Prairie View has its own Metra station. The interesting thing is it was supposed to be the better-known Lincolnshire. But that village never got around to annexing the property, so Vernon Township took over the planning for the station.

Interesting. That also explains why lots of Metra stations have a name that doesn't match the suburb it serves. They often existed long before the suburb was incorporated, and are named after the original village they were built for.

I'm still trying to figure out the Lavergne station. It is at 6400 West, Lavergne Avenue is at 5000 West. Original name of town, somebody's wife?
