How is this section of south River Forest? Very close to Forest Park. Houses seem a lot more reasonably priced than northern River Forest. Proximity to blue line seems nice but almost too good to be true. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

I live very close to this area and it is fine, no problems that I know of. Jewel grocery is a few blocks away
so is the post office. Lake street furtherwest is a shopping area, as is Madison St. in Forest Park.
The police station is also close by.

River Forest is so compact as to make questions about any "part" of it somewhat silly... The school attendance areas are about the only real difference, and with just two elementary schools in D90 that is not much of a factor...

Sure, the homes closer to Madison are not as enormous as those in the parts of towns known for mansions, but there are mostly nice homes that are generally a good value -- https://www.redfin.com/IL/River-Fore.../home/13323140 . Taxes are a the only real concern, though nearly 2% now, will likely rise considerably...
