The commute is definitely the best advantage of Oak Park. If you can stomach a longer commute, Naperville seems like the best fit for you. If not, maybe stick with Oak Park or a closer in suburb.

I generally prefer more urban environs, and have explored Oak Park for that very reason. But given its proximity to Austin and other reasons, I'd rather honestly just live in the city itself. But that's just me.

If you want suburban life, Naperville is the mecca. Just depends on what you want.

Do not move to Naperville it is so overrated the people who live there think they are better than everyone else and if you want to move to a western suburb choose elmhurst.Elmhurst has great schools and a nice big downtown and way more convenienty located than Naperville.
