probably ride the northwest line to Clybourn, then a divvy bike to your final destination. Or get your own folding bike.

The best way is going to be a personal vehicle -- fast and cheap. https://goo.gl/maps/cCbWkArtjnK2

Technically you could use a Pace bus (route #606) that would eventually get you to the Blue Line at Rosemont and then you'd still have about 30 minutes / 11 stops to Wicker Park. Pokey and so not worth the fares...

Some trains cover the distance in 23 minute. Add 10 minutes to the Mt Prospect station, another 10 to ride to the Wicker Park location, that's quicker than driving the whole distance. The best way, of course, is to try them both. One method might be slower but less aggravating.

No way that a Pace bus is getting between Mt. Prospect and Rosemont in 10 minutes. Not gonna happen. I'm generally a supporter of Metra, and when it's appropriate I'll certainly tell folks when a CTA ride (either bus or El) makes sense, there are even a handful of Pace routes that really do help folks get to / from work, but "speed" is not really a criteria for Pace. The biggest problem is really simply the lack of consistency -- I've seen Pace buses roll up to fairly busy stops (generally the busiest are at the regional malls...) and have not a single passenger and the same route might be "full up" when folks who do work 8 hr days are getting dropped off / picked up during the peak travel hours. Unfortunately those peak travel times are also when the bus has to fight traffic AND contend with the passengers who try to get their bicycles onto the front mounted racks, and offer handicapped riders the "squatting" bus features. It's a certainly a nice intention, but the reality is such things just make Pace buses horribly slow, in fact similar issues are now impacting CTA bus routes that serve the booming neighborhoods -- just a short while ago I had to "counsel" a younger colleague about the inconsistency of their attendance at scheduled client meetings. Fortunately that motivated them to seek out better commute options, but I really cannot stress enough that even with the GPS enabled buses and apps to track their arrival that does not remedy the torturous slowness of such transit...
