Since I love poking holes in absolute statements: So the apartments along Algonquin Rd. near Dempster (the little barrios) is safer than the NW side of Chicago, say Canfield and Higgins or Edison Park?

any one has any idea about the area around/in huntington square apartments located in Mt Prospect? considering that place to move in in the near future.,...any feedback is appreciated

Has the area around Algonquin Rd & Dempster changed any since this thread was started? I'm seeing rents in the 700's in some of the apartment complexes in that area which is about what I'd be comfortable with. Are there any online crime maps for the NW burbs?
