Does anyone know and advise If my kids are allowed to go different school other than where your school district is ?
For example, we live in east of Schaumburg which high school district is Schaumburg high, but can you apply and go to the school like JB Conant or Fremd.

All these school has good rate, but any characteristics for each high school, which is more diversifying than others etc.

My family will be relocating to Chicago suburb and we are considering to find the house in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estate or Palatine. These areas has good school district and decent commute time from my work at O'Hare airport. School district and safety is most important for my family.
Any information you can share and advise is very much appreciated!!

In my experience, most school districts do not allow open enrollment. My guess would be District 211 does not either, although District 54 does allow it due to some language programs. All the schools within District 211 are very good.

Your best bet would be to contact the school district for more information.

You're not going to find open enrollment here.

Out of the towns you mentioned, I'd suggest the portion of Palatine/Inverness that feeds into Fremd High School. Those are the highest regarded out of Palatine, Schaumburg, and HE.

If you need to be near O'Hare, I'd also add the following suburbs to your list:

- Arlington Hts
- Mount Prospect
- Prospect Hts
- Park Ridge
- Glenview
